The Nelson Tasman Pasifika Community Trust is seeking an inspiring and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation into its next phase of growth and community impact.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about empowering Pasifika communities, building strong partnerships, and delivering meaningful outcomes for people and whānau across the Nelson Tasman region.
As CEO, you will work closely with the Board, staff, community stakeholders, partners, and funders to deliver the Trust's vision, ensure long-term sustainability, and strengthen our contribution to the communities we serve.

The Nelson Tasman Pasifika Community Trust (NTPCT) is dedicated to supporting Pasifika families and communities to thrive across health, education, and wellbeing.
We work alongside our Pasifika communities in a culturally grounded, strengths-based way — empowering our people and building pathways for future generations.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, operational performance, and financial sustainability of the Trust. You will lead a dedicated team while fostering a positive, values-based culture that reflects the aspirations and strengths of Pasifika communities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide vision, strategic leadership, and direction for the organisation.
Develop and implement strategic and annual plans aligned with the Trust's objectives.
Ensure effective financial management and long-term sustainability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, stakeholders, partners, funders, and government agencies.
Identify opportunities for growth, collaboration, and community impact.
Lead organisational risk management, compliance, and governance practices.
Provide high-quality reporting, advice, and recommendations to the Board.
Foster a positive organisational culture and support the development of high-performing teams.
Champion the Trust's values and commitment to serving Pasifika communities.

We are looking for an experienced and values-driven leader who brings:
Proven senior leadership or executive management experience.
Strong strategic planning and business management capability.
Sound financial management and budget oversight experience.
Experience leading and developing teams.
Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
An understanding of governance and working effectively with Boards.
A genuine commitment to community development and service delivery.
Knowledge of, connection to, or experience working with Pasifika communities would be highly advantageous.
