Joseph Domoni is the Pasifika Check & Connect Mentor at the Nelson Tasman Pasifika Community Trust. He works closely with schools, students, and whānau across the region to support Pasifika learners to stay engaged, connected, and successful in their education journey.

Joseph is passionate about building strong, positive relationships and creating a safe, supportive environment where Pasifika young people feel valued, heard, and empowered. Through regular mentoring, encouragement, and check-ins, he supports students to strengthen their attendance, wellbeing, engagement, and academic progress.

His approach is grounded in connection, culture, and care—ensuring that each student is supported holistically and in a way that reflects their identity and strengths.

Joseph is committed to working collaboratively with schools and communities and welcomes opportunities to connect with staff to support students who may benefit from additional guidance”.
